Artist -Designer, Betty L. Hass
I have been creating both serious and whimsical artwork since 1980.
Born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, I later moved to Fort Myers, Florida, where I raised my two children and did freelance graphic design work. While there, I was honored to be chosen as one of forty Lee County artists to participate in the "Seahorse Dream" project, a major fundraiser for the Golisano Children's Hospital. It was my biggest painting project to date, and raised $9,000 for the charity.
After spending six years as the newsletter editor for Southwest Florida Mensa, I moved to the Bay Area of California, where I currently reside. I am now the Editor of the San Francisco Regional Mensa newsletter, "Intelligencer". I also create a monthly "Smart Alec" cartoon for the newsletter, and my cartoons are published in 30 other Mensa newsletters, all across the country.
